~Summer Happenings~

Hello all! :-)

We recently purchased a "dogloo" dog house for the little dog that showed up at our house a couple of weeks ago.
We also checked out a dog training video set from the library in hopes of training the dog to be very "mannerly" . :-)
We have been keeping the dog on some what of a trial basis, but in the mean time we thought she ought to have a name, so we've been calling her "Dolly". :-)

And now won't you join me for a tour of the flower garden and the vegetable garden? :-)

We have had several different kinds of flowers this year as well as a variety of colors. :-)

Our family has been enjoying the fresh produce of the vegetable garden!

This is a picture of one of our squash plants.

And here is some of the squash and zucchini that we picked. The zucchini has done much better this year....last year we only got 2 zucchini and this year we have already gotten 3 large zucchini with more on the plant!

Here is the okra.....

....and the purple hull peas.....

...and the corn! :-)

This year we added two watermelon plants to the garden, and there are five little watermelons growing! Yea! It's fun to watch things grow!

God Bless!
~Chloe~ :-)

"Out of the ground the LORD God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil."

~A Cute Canine~ :-)

Wednesday morning, as Mom was washing a few dishes, she looked out the window into the sunny back yard, under the play set at what she first thought was one of our cats. Upon further viewing she discovered that it was not one of the cats....but a dog!
Once the "news"of the dog was announced to the household, the back windows were soon occupied with curious observer's :-)
After watching the dog a while, we decided to see if the dog was friendly. My brother Travis went out first and after receiving a friendly greeting from the dog my younger brother's and I followed. :-)
Later that day we got a call from Dad who was wondering if we had found the dog yet. (He had noticed it on his way out to work that morning.) Dad said he thought it was a Boston terrier mix.
That evening Dad called a few people who live around here to see if they had lost a dog but no one has claimed it so it might have been dumped off. The little dog has a sweet disposition and likes to be around people.
We haven't had a dog in a long time and it's kind of funny to see the the contrast between the way cats behave and the way a dog behaves. :-)
If no one winds up claiming her (the dog) who knows......we might just keep her! :-)
Blessing's
~Chloe~ :-)
