Some Neat Resources

Hello!!!!!!

I just finished reading a book, Sunday, about Samuel Morris. It is a really good book and is based on a true story! The one I read is written by "Kjersti Hoff Baez". Below I quote the story line from the back cover.

Thwack!
Once again, the whip sliced through Kaboo's skin. Held captive by his father's enemies, the young African boy tied to a tree was certain he would die. Only God can perform miracles, and only a miracle could save Kaboo, and in doing so, change the lives of people throughout the world. Kaboo's story is the story of Samuel Morris, an African called to serve God in the United States. His story is an adventure of divine proportions!

This story was very encouraging to me and is a great faith builder! If you have not yet read it I would highly recommend you do! To view the book click here . (We located ours at Mardels.) Some other books in the series are "Corrie Ten Boom" and "
"Pilgrims Progress" just to name a few. Another great resource is "Your Story Hour" and "Patch the Pirate". They have some neat story's on tape! I also enjoy a video and some cassettes we got from "Morning-Time Ministries". (They have some music on them. I am not sure if they have sites or not.)

Well, our kittens seem to be doing well. The mama kitty moved them out of their box though!
:-P

We are supposed to get a little bit of a cool front sometime soon. That should be interesting!

Here is the scripture and recipe for today!

Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms {and} hymns {and} spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Today's recipe is...................

Wacky Cake (Chocolate)

3 c. flour
6 T. cocoa
2 c. sugar
2 t. soda
1 t. salt

2 c. cold water
3/4 c. oil
2 T. vinegar
2 t. vanilla

Sift together first 5 ingredients. Add last 4 ingredients and mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 9 by 13 by 2 inch pan. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes.

Note:This is a moist cake. (Very yummy!) We are not quite sure what kind of frosting you are supposed to put on it, but it is pretty good as is!

TTFN!!!

Chloe,
It's finally cooled off here in Michigan (it had been near 100 here). I'll send some of our cool air down to Oklahoma. Okay?! Have a great day.
