There was also a live band called "Arabesque" that played for our group that evening! The music was quite lovely! :-)
Lining up for the Grand March.
Here we are in the middle of the Grand March.
Getting in position for the Lancer's Quadrille-4th figure.
Here are some of my cousins and brothers having quite an enjoyable time I'd say. :-)
Attempting the two step. :-)
As the ball drew to a close we (the dancer's) all gathered together for a group photo. :-)

Hello, Chloe!

What cuteness! I'm American and I now live in the UK, no one does anything interesting like this over here. You've made me homesick, but in a good way *wink*. What fun you must have had!
Ariane,
Thanks for commenting! :-)
I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures! :-) Yes, it was LOTS of fun! :-)
My brother was just reminding me of another kind of dancing called "English Country Dancing"... I don't know if there might be a group that does something like that in your area? Just a thought. :-) You may already be familiar with this kind of dancing but here is a link to a utube video I found of some "English Country Dancing" if you would like to see some. :-)

And here's another video of one of the same dance's we did called "Pop goes the Weasel" and it looks like the person who uploaded it is from the UK! Perhaps she could be contacted? :-)

How Fun!
We haven't been to a ball since last year for my 18th birthday.
I love getting ready for balls, it is so much fun getting all the girls dressed up and their hair done :)
Hi Jacqueline!

Mom and I were looking through some of your blogs archives and got to see your "ball" post. :-)
Looks like you all had a wonderful time! (I liked your costumes too!) :-)
