Sunday afternoon we stopped by Wal-Mart and purchased the men's civil war uniform pattern and material along with a few of the notions called for on the back of the pattern. That particular Wal-Mart didn't have every item that was on the list that day, so we'll have to pick the other items up a little later on.
The outfit is in the making though! Yea! :-) So far we are in the cutting out process. The jacket and trousers have already been cut out and now we're working on the lining and will soon be cutting out the interfacing......and then on to the sewing! :-)Blessings,

Gloria, Thanks for your comment on my post...How is the suit coming along? I think you sound like you are farther along then me. I'm just now putting the lining in this morning, and haven't even cut out the pants. I thought the side pleats were really confusing on the jacket, but it seems to be working out ok. My back is achy, and my house is falling apart because I've been sewing every spare moment, but I'm really excited to see the finished product. I assume yours is for the same ball the Cockrofts are going to this Friday? I'm making this for Joshua...we're not going to be there.
